Casey’s journey with recovery was years in the making when his time was called. He was championing his recovery, making it a priority to help other men struggling with the same disease. Casey held a position at his home group, exercising his passion in service of the fight against addiction. Casey, 29, was born in West Monroe, LA on March 15, 1993, to Eric Yale Johnson and Cynthia Anne Chapman Place. At the time, he was joyfully living his best life in Lafayette, LA with his wife of just over a year, Harper Joy Richards Johnson, and their two children, Montgomery and Sterling. Casey was preceded in death by grandfathers George Yale Johnson and Kenneth Calk.
